The following local students earned a Transfer Merit Scholarship at York College of Pennsylvania. The Transfer Merit Scholarship is a $2,000 per year scholarship for full-time accepted transfer students. Wilkes University Awards Degrees at Sept. 12 Ceremony
Wilkes University held its summer commencement ceremony on Sunday, Sept. 12, in the Arnaud C. Marts Sports and Conference Center, Wilkes-Barre. The University awarded over 500 degrees and about 100 undergraduate and graduate students attended the ceremony. Wilkes also awarded its first ever doctor of education degree.

The following local students earned a York Regional Grant at York College of Pennsylvania. The York Regional Grant is a $2,000 scholarship to be divided over the student’s first four semesters at York College (excluding summers), and is available to all qualified York County residents. Certain eligibility requirements must be met to receive the award, and the recipient must maintain a 2.0 grade point average in order to continue eligibility.
